Sorbello Girls is a family-owned and operated business that provides the highest quality fruits and vegetables. They opened for business in 1961, celebrating their 60th anniversary in 2021! 
Deb, who took over Sorbello Girls in the early 2000’s, is one of six girls. Considering that her mother had six daughters and no sons, the name Sorbello Girls was chosen. Deb’s mother was unable to afford certain products and had difficulty putting food on the table, so the family began to farm; they started out by putting produce on their front porch! After gaining popularity rather quickly, they decided they needed to build a structure.
The Sorbello Girls Farm Market started in Mullica Hill, and was gifted as a wedding present. The interest in farming was sparked by the fact that Deb’s parents were the children of farmers. Deb’s father had continued to farm throughout his life with his brothers and father, and the extra income would be necessary for the family.
Although Mullica Hill has seen an increase in development over the last fifteen years, it is known to be a very rural area. The increase in population has actually been great for business, and the location is perfect for providing all local fresh fruits and vegetables. Technology has helped the business evolve as well over the years. Sorbello Girls has played a crucial role in various families, and people have been coming for so long now, that their kids are now coming.
Sorbello Girls Farm Market has been an active vendor in the Haddonfield Farmers’ Market for the last five years. They are so excited to be back in Kings Court with us this year as they have expressed a love for the people in the community. From being surrounded by great vendors, to the enthusiastic clientele looking to eat fresh, they find the people at our Haddonfield Farmers’ Markets to be special.
