Opening Day 2021

The Haddonfield Farmers’ Market opened for the 2021 season on Saturday May 15th! Gorgeous weather, great vendors and happy crowds enjoyed the community event designed to support local farmers, makers and food purveyors. Below is a recap of the events that took place!

Opening Day brought out new and returning vendors. From fresh produce, cut flowers and delicious baked goods, to exquisite jewelry and sensational soaps, a fine array of Jersey goods were available for purchase.

Opening remarks by Douglas H. Fisher, the New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture, recognized the significance of agriculture to the Garden State and highlighted the importance of supporting the local community

The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured Secretary Fisher and Joe Atchison director of the New Jersey Department of Agriculture’s Division of Marketing & Development as well as local dignitaries Colleen Bianco Bezich and Frank Troy, newly elected Commissioners of Haddonfield, Joe Treddinick of Republic Bank, Morgan Falasca of Downtown Cookies, Market Director Ralph Ciallella, and sponsors including Dave Ralic of Society, Joe Murphy, CCEP of the Haddonfield Foundation, and Allison Nagle of the Allison Nagle Team – Re/Max One.

Town criers heralded the markets opening along with local news of the day.

The Allison Nagle Team – Re/Max One was present distributing their custom made market canvas tote bags! The first 50 people that grabbed the bags received them for free, along with a donut compliments of Pizza Crime! Additional totes bags will be available at future markets for a $10.00 donation, with all proceeds benefitting the Haddonfield Farmers’ Market.
